Steven A. Moorhead, FSA, MAAA
Steve has over 25 years of actuarial experience in both stock
and mutual life insurance companies. His experience includes
financial analysis, financial reporting, life and annuity
product development, reinsurance, dividend analysis, life
insurance illustrations and general management. He has served
as an Appointed Actuary and signed annual statements.
Steve has experience with both general and separate account
products. He has been involved in the valuation and acquisition
of several large insurance agencies and a broker/dealer. He
has extensive experience in dealing with state insurance departments
for both financial audits and product form filings.
Steve has the necessary experience and education (basic
and continuing), per the American Academy of Actuaries (AAA)
Qualification Standards for Prescribed Statements of Actuarial
Opinion, to render a public statement of actuarial opinion.
He has been a member of the AAA Committee on Life Insurance
Financial Reporting and was Chair of the AAA working group
to write practice notes on Guideline XXX. He has regularly
attended meetings of the National Association of Insurance
Commissioners (NAIC) including the Life and Health Actuarial
Task Force. He has spoken at several Society of Actuaries
meetings on reinsurance and valuation. |
