Philip A. Velazquez, FSA, MAAA

Phil has over 40 years of actuarial experience in both stock and mutual companies and as a consultant. He is proficient in most areas of actuarial practice, insurance accounting and reinsurance.

His experience includes reinsurance, financial analysis, financial reporting, life product development, experience analysis, corporate appraisals, mergers & acquisitions, audits and general management.

Phil has the necessary experience and education (basic and continuing), per the Academy of Actuaries Qualification Standards for Prescribed Statements of Actuarial Opinion, to render a public statement of actuarial opinion.

Phil has been a frequent speaker at actuarial and other insurance industry meetings and seminars including the Society of Actuaries and various local actuarial clubs. Phil has served on the Education and Examination committee of the Society of Actuaries. He also was a Councilmember of The Smaller Insurance Company Section of the Society of Actuaries, serving as Chairperson during the last year of his three-year term on the Council.
